ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) announced that the first phase of its internet expansion project for provision of infrastructure in the country has been completed.
Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and dialup users of Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi/Islamabad will be shifted to the new system within couples of weeks while the users of other cities including Peshawar and Quetta by September 1999.
Our valued customers will notice substantial improvement in quick and high speed access. Dedicated lines of ISPs of PTCL NAP (Network Access Point) will now be passed through PTCL’s e-mail will be routed through these NAPs without going outside Pakistan.
In addition to the normal Internet service, customers will now be able to avail roaming facility within the country. Pending demands registered with the PTCL, will be met without delay.
On this occasion, the PTCL announces with pleasure that its existing dialup users will have 10 hours usage free of charge as soon as they are shifted to new system.
