LAHORE – Ministry of Women Development in collaboration with Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department Punjab organised basic IT training programme for elected lady representatives here at the University of Lahore. In the first batch of the programme, as many as 75 lady councillors are participating. Rana Mohammad Usman Noon, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Marketing was the chief guest at the launching ceremony. Welcoming the participants of the programme, Dr. M. H. Qazi, Rector of the University highlighted the salient features of the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Rana Noon said that credit goes to the present government that ensured due representation to the women in the legislative process starting from the Union Councils to the National Assembly as well as the Senate.
