8 injured in landmine blasts in Dera Bugti

QUETTA: Three separates landmine blasts on Thursday left as many as eight people, including Balochistan Levies personnel, women and a child, wounded in Dera Bugti district of Balochistan.

Police sources confirmed two Levies personnel, three women, a child and two others sustained injuries in three separate incidents across Dera Bugti.

In the first incident, the vehicle of Levies personnel hit a landmine in Thelapar area of Dera Bugti as a result of which three people were injured. The injured were identified as sepoys Sher Khan and Khan Muhammad, while the identity of the third could not be ascertained.

The second incident took place in Bekhar area of the district in which three women and a child of the same family were injured. Balochistan Levies sources said the women stepped on a landmine while walking home.

In the third incident, a man was injured in Shahmas Sar area when he stepped on a landmine and was left critically injured.
