The PTA has done the right thing by banning all night-time free phone packages. The government should also make it compulsory for all TV and cable TV companies to stop broadcasting their transmission at midnight. I say so because Pakistan is the only country where shops and offices do not open before 10am and most shops in Islamabad do not open till almost mid-day. Late night closing of businesses is no excuse for this highly unproductive practice.
In all progressive and productive societies, people start working very early in the morning. The majority of workshops in Germany open at 6am, even in the cold winter months, and this is one of the main reasons for their prosperity.
