ABN News and Daily Ausaf Chief Reporter Javed Shahzad Dies of Cardiac Arrest

Javed Shahzad, the Chief Reporter of ABN News and Daily Ausaf, passed away on January 12 due to a cardiac arrest. Shahzad was rushed to the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, his life could not be saved.

Shahzad was a respected figure in the media industry, known for his dedication, professionalism, and integrity. His illustrious career spanned numerous impactful stories and reports.

His younger brother, Khurram Shahzad, a senior reporter at the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), expressed profound sorrow over the loss of his elder brother. The funeral prayer for the deceased journalist was scheduled for January 13 at 11:00 AM at the Big Graveyard (Chohar) near Chour Chowk, Rawalpindi.

Political leaders and public figures have also expressed their condolences. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, and Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram expressed their grief and paid tribute to his work in journalism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a condolence message, expressed his grief with Shahzad’s family and said that the late journalist’s work in the field of journalism would forever.
