Actors’ association to improve entertainment standards

LAHORE: The Actors’ Collective (ACT) – an association of actors, including film, theater and televisions artists, was launched on Sunday with the aim to improve the standards of the entertainment industry.

The association’s founding members include: Nadia Jamil, Seemi Raheel Nauman Ijaz, Asif Raza Mir, Sania Saeed, Sajid Hassan, Faisal Qureshi, Faisal Rehman, Hamayun Saeed and Usman Peerzada. The association also aims to bring the acting fraternity closer to each other. In its capacity as an organisation being operated and managed by actors, it aims to work on drafting actors’ contracts and making them mandatory across the industry. It also aims to draft and create organisational partnerships with the United Association of Producers and all leading channels.
