AJK Minister Chaudhry Yasir Sultan Urges Media to Amplify Kashmir Conflict Resolution Efforts

Azad Jammu Kashmir’s Housing and Physical Planning Minister, Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, emphasized the critical role of media in addressing the Kashmir conflict during a visit to the Kashmir Press Club in Mirpur, Azad Jammu Kashmir on August 11.

Minister Sultan commended the local journalist community for their relentless efforts in bringing attention to the need for a swift resolution of the Kashmir issue, aligning with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He acknowledged the significant impact that media coverage has on raising awareness and advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people.

He emphasized that journalists affiliated with national and regional press have vital responsibilities in highlighting the importance of an early settlement of the Kashmir problem according to the wishes of the Jammu and Kashmir people.

He assured that the government would prioritize issues such as the extension of the Kashmir Press Club Mirpur building, the construction of a journalist colony, the improvement of roads, and the face-lifting of the press club building for early implementation.

The minister was accompanied by a large entourage, including Director General Mangla Dam Housing Authority Chaudhry Munshai Naqshbandi, Mayor Municipal Corporation Chaudhry Usman Ali Khalid, Presidential Adviser Chaudhry Amjad Ali, and other notable government officials and party leaders.

The newly elected office bearers of the Kashmir Press Club, including President Syed Abid Hussain Shah and General Secretary Raja Sohrab Khan, expressed their gratitude to the guests and assured the continuation of the vibrant role of the journalist community in highlighting the national Kashmir cause.
