A woman belonging to Saeedabad registered a case against the residents of her area for beating her up, looting her and setting her house on fire. The police claim that the reason behind this was that she was running a brothel.

Nasreen Akhtar a resident of Sector-14 A came to the Saeedabad police station with orders of the District and Sessions Judge West in which she states that she has been a victim of Naseer who with other residents of the area has been harassing her for the past four years.

Nasreen said that accused Naseer, Aqal, Nasir, Mohabbat Khan, Nawaz, Nawaz relatives, Amjad, Alam, Alam’s brother and several others loaded with arms broke into her house, beat her up and stole her gold ornaments worth about Rs75,000, electric articles, cellphones, gents and ladies watches and then torched her house. As soon as the fire spread they made good their escape.

The court took note of the complaint and ordered the police to register a case. Subsequently, an FIR was registered and the case was referred to the investigation police. The duty officer of the Saeedabad police station said that the lady was running a brothel and was therefore attacked by the residents of the area. No arrests in the case have been made so far.
