Another accused in blasphemy case held

TOBA TEK SINGH: City police on Sunday arrested another blasphemy accused, Shehla Masih, during a raid at Christian Colony.

The police had registered a blasphemy case against five people on Eid-i-Milad and arrested one of them, Salamat Masih.

The accused had reportedly trampled a sticker underfoot on which the picture of `Naalain Mubarik’ of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had been published.

Catholic church priest Bonnie Mendes has condemned the arrest of Shehla Masih and termed it an action of police to create a law and order situation. He demanded immediate release of both the accused and quashment of the case. He claimed that the case was baseless and no incident had taken place at all.
