APNS executive committee approves annual report, schedules annual general council meeting for March 31

All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS)

The Executive Committee of the All-Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) held a meeting in Karachi on March 16, where it adopted the annual report for 2025-26 and the financial accounts for 2025. The committee also praised the secretariat’s efforts in recovering both current and longstanding dues.

The meeting, presided over by APNS President, Senator Sarmad Ali, and attended by Vice President Shahab Zuberi and Secretary General Muhammad Athar Kazi, focused on the operational achievements of the past year and discussed issues concerning the state of print media and freedom of the press in Pakistan.

While Mohsin Bilal, Joint Secretary, Naveed Kashif, Finance Secretary, Mohsin Seyal (Aftab), Waseem Ahmed (Awam Quetta), Ansar Mahmood Bhatti (Centre Line), Naveed Chaudhry (City 42), Bilal Mahmood (Nawa-i-Waqt), Adnan Faisal (Jiddat), Imtinan Shahid (Khabrain), S.M. Munir Jilani (Paigham), Faisal Zahid Malik (Pakistan Observer), Muhammad Awais Khushnood (Sahafat), Irfan Athar (Tijarat) attended the meeting via Zoom.

The APNS has announced that the Annual General Council Meeting is scheduled to take place on March 31 in Karachi.
