ARY Digital Network acquired a majority stake in the digital media platform Nukta, expanding its media outreach and strengthening its position in the digital domain. Announced on March 8, this acquisition integrates Nukta into ARY Group’s global media ecosystem, which spans television, digital platforms and international markets.
Salman Iqbal, founder of ARY Digital Network and CEO of ARY Group, highlighted the acquisition as part of the network’s strategy to adapt to the changing media landscape by enhancing its digital capabilities while leveraging its established broadcast presence. “The media landscape is changing rapidly, and ARY has always been at the forefront of that evolution,” Iqbal stated.
Nukta started as Nukta Pakistan and Nukta Dubai and includes content verticals including Nukta Business, Nukta Crime, and Nukta Life. It will continue to operate out of its Dubai headquarters.
Kamran Khan, founder of Nukta and a seasoned journalist with over 42 years in the field, will assume the role of Chairman of ARY News & Nukta. He expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities this partnership would bring. “This partnership creates an exciting opportunity to combine ARY’s unmatched broadcast reach with Nukta’s fast-growing digital platform,” Khan remarked.
Additionally, Nukta’s flagship television program, On My Radar (OMR) hosted by Kamran Khan, is set to be broadcast on ARY News, potentially reaching a larger audience through its television platform.
