ARY host Iqrar ul Hassan attacked in Gujranwala
On May 22, renowned television anchorperson of ARY News and host of the program Sar-e Aam, Iqrar ul Hassan, and his team members were injured when their vehicles were attacked by a group of people in Gujranwala in the Punjab province.
Hassan had arrived at a private university to attend an event when the attackers, raising slogans in favour of Pir Haq Khateeb Sarkar, struck him and his team. They smashed the windows of Hassan’s car and assaulted him and his team with stones and sticks while shouting slogans in favor of Pir Haq Khateeb Sarkar.Hassan and his team sustained minor injuries in the attack.
As per media reports, Hassan has previously exposed Khateeb in his programs, which led to threats from Khateeb’s followers.
