ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Farooq Awan, has said that the government had decided to lift the ban on YouTube “in a few days”. Awan said that the website would be “accessible in the country in a few days”.
He also said that the auction to sell third generation (3G) mobile telecom licenses would be held in January 2013, adding that this would be done in a transparent manner.
Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) is an independent media documentation and training center, non-governmental organization committed to promoting and defending freedom of expression.
