ISLAMABAD — The minister for Interior, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, informed the senate on July 9 that the government would introduce a bill in the parliament against karo — kari.

The interior minister said that though there was no law against karo-kari, however the government treated such cases as murder cases.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Raza Hayat Hiraj informed the Senate that a bill against karo-kari had been prepared and the concerned ministries were being consulted in this regard.
