Burney to launch global protest for Jang Group

GENEVA: Special Adviser to the United Nations (UN) and Chairman Ansar Burney Trust Advocate Ansar Burney has announced to launch a global protest campaign against the government actions against Geo TV and the Jang Group.

In a press release here on Saturday, Ansar Burney termed the government actions against Geo TV and the Jang Group a blatant violation of human rights and a blow to the freedom of press. He also termed the government actions against Jang Group and Geo TV violation of the United Nations Charter and an attack on the freedom of press.
