HYDERABAD: A newly-wed couple of Shahdadkot district on Thursday appealed to higher authorities to provide them security or they would be killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari.Addressing a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club, Seema, presently residing in Noorani Basti area of Hyderabad, said she married Mohammad Ishaq Khoso of her free will on Feb 8, 2010.

She said her relatives and family members were against the marriage and issuing threats to the couple and also tried to kidnap them on Feb 9. However, the attempt was foiled by neighbours, she said.

She said she had lodged a complaint with SP City and other police officials concerned and demanded provision of security and protection to her and her husband. She said her relatives and family members should be held responsible in case anything happened to them.
