Meta hosted a key event named “Creators Connect” in Karachi, gathering around 40 content creators from different parts of Pakistan. The event was part of Meta’s ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and resource-sharing among the country’s growing digital talent.
The tech giant collaborated with prominent creators such as Food Fusion, Samosiii, and Osamah Nasir, focusing on innovative content creation initiatives. A central highlight of the gathering was the celebration of the successful launch of WhatsApp channels. This new feature allows content creators to engage more directly with their followers, fostering improved communication and building stronger online communities.
“We’re thrilled to see Pakistani creators using Meta platforms in innovative ways to build and grow their communities,” said Revie Sylviana, Meta’s Director of Global Partnerships for South and Southeast Asia. Sylviana acknowledged that while Pakistan currently lacks a dedicated local representative for content creators, Meta’s global teams are determined to provide the essential tools and resources needed for creators in Pakistan to thrive.
The event also included engagement with representatives from Jazz, who announced new data packs specifically tailored for WhatsApp and Facebook.
