On October 3, the Environment Journalists Forum held its first elections, electing its inaugural executive body. Over twenty journalists from various media platforms, including print, electronic, and digital, participated in the election at Riphah International University. The Forum also ensured inclusivity with four members casting votes via Zoom.
The forum unanimously elected Ali Jabir from Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) elected as President, Rozina Ali from 24 News as Senior Vice President, Saadullah Saeed from the Public Purview as Vice President Male, Ayesha Naz from GTV as Vice President Female, Asghar Hayat from GNN as General Secretary, Sohail Butt from Asian Telegraph as Joint Secretary, Fouzia Ali from Dunya News as Finance Secretary, Mukhtar Ahmed from NNI as Information Secretary, whereas the Governing Body Members elected are Amina Janjua from Neo News, and Aftab Jahan from News One TV.
