KARACHI (April 17 2007): The Campus FM Radio of the University of Karachi successfully began its test transmission from Sunday evening. This was stated by Project Director of the KU’s FM Radio Professor Muhammad Inam Bari Jaffery, while talking to newsmen.

He said the test transmission, which began with recitation from the Holy Quran, continued for about 90 minutes and it also carried promotional announcement.

Inam Bari, who is also Project Director of Dr Feroze Ahmed Institute of Mass Communication, KU, further said that the regular transmissions were expected to commence by the end of the current month.
