KARACHI, June 03 2006: Iqbal Haider, Secretary General of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) expressed grief and concern over the brutal murder in Larkana of Munir Sangi, a working journalist and photographer of daily ‘Kawish’ and the KTN TV Network, during a gun-battle between the two tribes.

Haider stated that immediately upon receiving reports of this tragic incident the HRCP had deputed its District Co-ordinator M. Saddique Abro to collect all the possible details and the background of most brutal murder of Sangi. Initial investigations conducted by HRCP’s Co-ordinator do give strength to the suspicion that perhaps Muneer Sangi was deliberately targeted, as he has been exposing crimes and inhuman acts and practice rampant in the interior of Sindh.-PR
