Imran Ghaznavi joins as Chief Media Officer at Privatisation Commission

Imran Ghaznavi joined the Privatisation Commission as Chief Media Officer and Principal Spokesperson,  a key role in the organisation’s strategic communication and external relations team. According to a recent press release, his appointment aims to  focus on shaping public narrative, reinforce stakeholder confidence, and promote the country’s reform agenda through targeted communication strategies.

With a robust background spanning over two decades, Ghaznavi’s professional journey includes notable stints in both the public and private sectors. He holds an MS in Mass Communication and an MBA in Marketing, both with distinction, alongside specialized training from the United States.

Throughout his career, Ghaznavi has held high-ranking positions at several key institutions including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), and the Planning Commission. He has also been involved with leading media organizations.

Prior to his current appointment, Ghaznavi served at the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) as the Spokesperson and Senior Executive Director of Corporate and Media Affairs.
