LAHORE: Workshops and training courses play an important role in capacity building and enhancing professional skills alongwith value addition by improving knowledge base, and change in attitude.

This was said by Farhan Aziz Khawaja, Special Secretary (Agriculture Marketing), Punjab in his address as Chief Guest of concluding ceremony of 16th Workshop on “Information Science and Agricultural Journalism” organised by Directorate of Agricultural Information, Punjab, Lahore.

Earlier, Muhammad Rafiq, Director Agricultural Information, Punjab welcomed and briefed the chief guest about objectives of the workshop. Farhan Khawaja highlighted the importance of Directorate of Agricultural Information, Punjab for transferring agricultural technology to the farming community through print and electronic media.

The workshop was attended by professionals from various formations of Agriculture Department, Punjab, NGO’s, Research and Development Organisations. The media management experts had delivered lectures about communication/PR techniques, audio-video productions, print and scientific writing during the workshop. Certificates among the participants were distributed at the end of ceremony.
