Jamaat pays tribute to journalist

KARACHI: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hassan, paid rich tribute to renowned journalist Najib Ahmed for his services on Thursday. In this regard, a special program was organised at Idarae Noor Haq on Thursday in which a large number of party workers participated. The late journalist died of heart attacks few months back.

“Najib Ahmed has left behind his honourable legacy in the type of great deeds. For a single person it is not possible to render such achievements. He did not have an enmity with anybody but friendliness with everybody” JI chief said this while addressing a gathering.

He said that though he was not present with us, but he would be remembered through his acclaimed work and dignity.

Editor daily Awam Nazir Laghari said that Najib was an extraordinary man who learned a lot of things in such short period, leaving his footprints in this field particularly for junior ones.

Popular anchor Aneeq Ahmed said that Najib possessed all the characteristics of good human that have been mentioned in the Holy Quran. He was an honest, brave and free of all kinds of malpractices.

KPC Secretary AH Khanzada, JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mahanti, Najib’s elder brother, renowned journalists and close friends of Najib Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
