KP Government Grants Rs. 50 Million to Peshawar Press Club

On May 30, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government extended financial assistance of Rs. 50 million to the Peshawar Press Club. The cheque was presented by Barrister Dr. Mohammad Ali Saif, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information, during a visit to the club.

Speaking at a press conference after the ceremony, Barrister Dr. Saif stated that the Peshawar Press Club is not just an institution to him, but feels like home. He highlighted the provincial government’s commitment to supporting media institutions. He added that the financial support was part of the government’s ongoing efforts to promote journalistic development through transparent use of public resources. He noted that this was the second financial grant to the club during the current fiscal year.

The event was attended by Secretary Information Muhammad Khalid, Additional Secretary Hayat Shah, office bearers of the Press Club, senior journalists, and other relevant individuals.
