LARKANA: A man and his son were shot dead in the village of Bachal Chandio in Qambar early on Monday.

They were said to be killed for settling an old dispute triggered four years ago on the issue of Karo-Kari.

The attackers broke into their house and fired at the sleeping Gulbahar Chandio 60 and his son Mukhtiar Chandio 35. The killers who belong to the same village had vacated their houses and fled after the crime, sources said.

The dispute started four years ago when the side of Gulbahar Chandio killed Imran Chandio on the charge of ‘Karo-kari’.

The bodies were buried after an autopsy.

Police, on the complaint of Asghar Chandio, nephew of Gulbahar Chandio, has registered an FIR against 15 persons, including Mithal Chandio, Ali Dino Chandio, Ghulam Rasool Leghari, Rahib, Ashique and others.
