KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information and Archive Sharjeel Inam Memon in order to modernise Information Department announced the establishment of a modern media cell.

He also directed that at least ten officers must be present at a time in the media cell which will monitor news broadcast by electronic media and report to concerned ministers and officers. The cell will be functional round the clock, he added.Moreover, all officers would also report on daily basis regarding published news in various newspapers related to public grievances and law and order situation, for this purpose internet technology would be used, he said. “Media will work as a helping hand in resolving the issues we are facing today.

Punctuality must be observed by all the officers,” the minister concluded. Director General Public Relations Syed Wajahat Ali and Director Press Information Muhammad Yousaf Kaboro also attended the meeting.
