WHILE it is admirable the way our media has evolved from naught to a force to reckon with, is it really necessary for some TV channels to present their news bulletins in a sing song manner?
The words are made to rhyme, and clips from songs, mostly Indian, are played in the background. One is left wondering whether it is ‘supposedly’ a serious news bulletin or a farce.
Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) is an independent media documentation and training center, non-governmental organization committed to promoting and defending freedom of expression. PPF was established in 1967 as a non-profit organization and continued working until 1974, when it had to suspend operations due to the political environment then prevailing in the country.
