QUETTA, April 28: Civil projects should be completed before June and negligence or delays would not be tolerated, Balochistan Minister for Communication and Works Mir Mohammad Sadiq Umrani said here on Monday.
He said at a press conference that civil projects for collective welfare without any political consideration. He was accompanied by Secretary C&W Kaleem Nasar.
The coalition government, he said, wanted to solve problems of the people of Balochistan.
“All sub-divisional officers working on senior posts will be replaced soon,” the minister said, adding that he should not be approached on matters like transfers and postings because all decisions would be taken on merit.
Mr Umrani, who is also deputy parliamentary leader of the PPP, urged the department’s employees to first solve poor people’s problems.
He said that employees whose promotions had been previously ignored would get precedence over others.
He said that the government had started taking measures to remove the sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan engendered by wrong policies of the previous government.
