KARACHI, Oct 12: A six-yearold girl was assaulted and killed and her body was thrown into bushes at a derelict place in Gulistan-i-Jauhar by a maniac. As the family desperately searched Tajjali, her body was found near meteorological office in Chishtinagar. The girl had gone outside her home for playing with another girl, Asma, but as she did not turn up, the family members got panicky. They informed the police who took a man into custody. The man later confessed to have killed the girl. According to the police, a youth identified as Irshad used to live in Chishtie Nagar some six months back. He had moved to another place. However, he came to Chishti Nagar on Oct 9, and abducted the girl when she was playing with Asma, 9. The police found the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
