On July 5, mobile phone and internet services were suspended in various cities across Pakistan, including Quetta, Karachi, Peshawar, Sukkur, Dadu, Jacobabad, Kohat, and other areas, as part of heightened security measures on the 9th of Muharram-ul-Haram.
The suspension, implemented to ensure public safety during mourning processions and religious gatherings, was in effect throughout the day.
Security forces remained on high alert across the country, with additional deployments in sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incidents. Processions were monitored closely and concluded peacefully.
