ISLAMABAD, June 03 2006: Mobilink, a priÂvate sector cellular phone operator, on May 02 announced that it would invest $1 billion in the next financial year. The announcement was made by the company’s chief executive, Zouhair A Khaliq, in a press statement. He said the company would increase its subscriber base to over 20 million by the end of 2006. “Currently, the company is leading the market with a lion’s .share of over 56 percent subscribers which sums up to more than 15 million customers across Pakistan,” he added.
