On August 12, authorities enlisted the technical expertise of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to access digital records in the murder investigation of Mir Raza Ali, an IBA graduate and owner of Wafflix, whose body was found in Karachi with gunshot wounds after he went missing on July 28.

A seven-member team led by DIG Amir Farooqui is investigating the case. According to Dawn, sources stated that they are trying to recover Raza’s digital activity, including his WhatsApp records.

The team also recorded the statement of the online cab driver who last transported Raza to Gulistan-i-Jauhar.
