FAISALABAD, Dec 22: Two people gunned down a newly-wed couple apparently to `protect their honour’ in Himmatpura locality in Nishatabad police precincts here on Monday.
Shumaila married Amjad by choice some three months ago. They were on their way home when Shumaila’s maternal uncles Rana Adil and Munawwar intercepted them and opened fire. No arrest has been made till the filing of this report.
