On May 29, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan praised the national media for its exceptional responsibility and commitment to truth during the recent war-like situation, alongside the Pakistan Army’s strong response to Indian aggression.
He was addressing a ceremony at the Lahore Press Club, organized jointly by the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), the Lahore Press Club, and the Punjab Assembly Press Gallery Committee. The event focused on the theme “Defence of the Nation and the Role of Media.”
Malik Ahmad Khan said that during those challenging days, the entire nation stood together. In his concluding remarks, the Speaker said the Pakistani media’s efforts to bring the truth to light during critical times would be remembered in history.
The event was attended by Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari, PFUJ President Naeem Hanif, Punjab Assembly Press Gallery President Khawaja Nasir, PFUJ General Secretary Qamar ur Zaman Bhatti, and senior members of the journalist community.
