WASHINGTON – Some Pakistani journalists who arrived in New York to report the president’s visit to the US were grilled by the US immigration for nearly two hours.

The fact that at least two of them had been to this country recently, one of them on the State Department-sponsored visit, did not deter the immigration officials from according them “special attention.”

Those grilled included Daily Times Islamabad bureau chief Rana Qaiser, Rana Tahir of Jang Sarmad Salik of The Newsand Riffat Saeed of Takbir.
