LAHORE: Barrister Farooq Hassan on Friday filed a petition before the LHC on Wednesday seeking the registration of cases against doctors involved in the assault on journalists at the Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, under the ATA.

The petitioner asked the court to hold an impartial investigation into the incident and that action be taken against the doctors involved in the incident. He said the constitution ensured media freedom and no one, including doctors, had the authority to bar journalists from covering an event.
