On February 11, Pakistan Federation Union of Journalists (PFUJ) President Afzal Butt inaugurated the IT room at the National Press Club (NPC). This upgrade includes installing new computers, modern desks, fans, lights, wall panels, and ceiling boards, fully aligning the room with contemporary requirements to better serve the journalistic community.
The renovation was spearheaded by Interlink Advertising CEO, Sajid Khan, and NPC governing body member, Naveed Sheikh, whose personal interest made this enhancement possible. The completion of the project was celebrated with a prestigious inauguration ceremony attended by officials from various journalistic organisations and a large number of senior journalists.
The formal inauguration of the IT room was conducted by the President of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Afzal Butt. Notable attendees included the President of the National Press Club, Azhar Jatoi, Secretary Nayyer Ali, Vice President Shah Muhammad, former President of Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists Tariq Virk, among other senior journalists.
Speakers at the event commended the efforts of Sajid Khan and Naveed Sheikh, highlighting that the upgraded IT room will provide modern facilities to journalists, enhancing their professional capabilities. They expressed hope that similar initiatives for the welfare of journalists would continue in the future.
