Photography exhibition opens at Arts Council

KARACHI: A photography exhibition by Dr Kafi Iqbal, Dr Rafeeque and a new emerging photographer Rehan Khan was organised at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, here on Sunday.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Deputy Parliamentary Leader in National Assembly Haider Abbas Rizvi inaugurated the exhibition.

Talking to media on this occasion, Rizvi said that he had enjoyed the exhibition very much. He appreciated the role of organisers and said that such type of activities leave a very positive impact on the society, particularly in ongoing situation of the society.

He further urged Pakistani youth to express their inner art and said that art plays an important role in the life of civilised nations.

In this exhibition, the artists captured landscape, historical places, wildlife and other natural scenes.

An emerging artist Rehan Khan, who is also Executive District Officer, Local Taxes in City District Government Karachi, said while talking to Daily Times that he was inspired by the photography of Dr Rafeeque.

He said that he was fond of photography and used to take snaps of historical places across Pakistan, whenever he got some vacant time.

He said that everyone particularly youth should spend sometime in exploring their inner art and creativity.
