BADIN:A photojournalists “training workshop was organised by the Pakistan Press Foundation(PPF) here on Thursday.
The general consensus at the workshop was that the photojourÂnalists suffer a lot as they risk their lives while carrying out professional duties.
Addressing the workshop, senÂior press photographer Raza Haider said pictures published in newspaÂpers depict political and socio-ecoÂnomic conditions of a country.
He noted that a newspaper could not be considered comÂplete until pictures were pubÂlished in it.
However, he made clear there were responsibilities on the shoulders of photojournalists and they should only highlight genuine issues through their images.
Their snaps should be irrespective of class differences, personal bias and based on realiÂty, he added.
Raza Haider said photojourÂnalists could play an important role in covering the upcoming elections.
PPF provincial coordiÂnator Arslan Yasin and district coordinator Abdul Latif Zargar were also present at the workshop.
Later, a visit was arranged for press photographers to different centers, where matters perÂtaining to technical aspects of photo journalism were discussed. The press photographers from across the district participated in workshop.
