QUETTA – Dozens of activists of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) on Sunday staged a demonstration outside Quetta Press Club to protest against senior columnist Nazir Naji for his remarks about Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and demanded that a ban should be imposed on him in print and electronic media.

Participants of rally were carrying placards and banners inscribed with different slogans. Addressing the participants of demonstration, PKMAP central Secretary Information Raza Muhammad Raza, Provincial President Usman Kakar and Rauf Lala strongly condemned the column of Nazir Naji about Khyber Paktunkhwa and declared him as anti-Pakhthon columnist.

“He is linking Pashtoons with kalashnikov and drug mafia cultures”, they said, and alleged that Punjab was responsible for introduction of culture of terrorism in Pashtoon areas. They said that Hazara division was integral part of Khyber Pashtoonkhwa and no power in the world could separate it from Pashtoons, adding that such columns would further fan hatreds amongst the people. They said that if a ban was not imposed on Nazir Naji, his columns would destabilise the security of country and democracy.
