LAHORE: The Private Tele Producers Association (PTPA) has expressed concern over delay in payment of their dues by the NIM.
Addressing a joint press conference here on Tuesday PTPA office-bearers Kanwar Aftab, Asif Ali Pota, Nafees Ahmed and Zahid Mian demanded of the government to compel the NTM for early payment of dues.
They said the NTM owed Rs. 80 million to various private producers of Karachi and Lahore. Out of this amount NTM has to pay Rs. 35 million to Lahore producers and 40 million to Karachi producers. They said that it was unfortunate that the NTM had earned millions by airing the programmes of the private producers but was not clearing their dues.
They also lashed out at the PTV and STN administration for awarding new contract to NTM without resolving the issue of the private producers’ payment. They also criticised PTV administration for selling out its classified time to Faisal S against Rs. 15 million.
