The journalistic community and political leaders across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are mourning the loss of Tariq Mateen, senior journalist and Deputy News Editor of Daily Mashriq, who passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. Dignitaries, including Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Federal Minister for SAFRON Amir Muqam, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, and KP Minister for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan, expressed profound sorrow over his demise.

They paid tribute to Mateen’s significant contributions to journalism, describing him as a dedicated, hardworking, and ethical professional whose services greatly benefited the media industry. They said his passing was an irreplaceable loss to the journalistic fraternity and remembered him as a mentor who earned widespread respect through his professional integrity and compassionate nature.

They extended their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul’s eternal peace and for strength for his loved ones during this difficult time.
