The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has expanded the Chief Minister Free Wi-Fi initiative, now offering free internet access at 270 hotspots in 11 districts throughout Punjab.

The free Wi-Fi service is now available in over 200 locations across Lahore. It has been extended to other districts, including Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Attock, with additional sites in Sahiwal, Okara, and Murree. This widespread coverage ensures that many citizens can benefit from internet access at no cost.

According to a PSCA spokesperson, since the launch of this program, over 13 million users have utilized the free Wi-Fi, consuming more than 265 terabytes of data. The spokesperson emphasized, “Following the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab, we are transforming Punjab into a digital province.”

The authority has clarified that the Wi-Fi service is designed for essential internet use and is not intended for streaming videos or entertainment purposes.
