Role of photojournalism in media highlighted

Rahimyar Khan, July 24 : Photojournalism reserves a significant position in electronic and print media in this modern era of information.

In the past news items in print media were denied due to lack of proof, but now photojournalism had filled that gap and made news items supported by pictures almost undeniable.

This was stated by Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) Chief Coordinator Musawir Shahid and Shahid Ali while addressing an inaugural session of workshop on photojournalism here on Tuesday.

Photojournalists also possess an important place in newspapers because they play a major role in boosting worth of news by providing photos to them.

The workshop was attended, among others, by Mohammad Siddique Baloch, Zulfiqar Ali, Shahbaz Ali, Imran Maqsood and Rao Farzand Ali Khan and Nazar Mohammad.
