ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (Like-Minded Group) Senator Salim Saifullah Khan has been elected chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs.
Talking to reporters, Mr Saifullah said he would play his role to improve foreign policy of the country and bring normalcy in relations between India and Pakistan.
He said development of the country was directly related to the sound foreign policy, regretting that the country was not enjoying good image in the international community.
Mr Saifullah said he would strive hard in coordination with the Foreign Office to improve the image of Pakistan at international level. “I will initiate national-level debate to invite suggestions for the improvement in the foreign policy,” he added.
