THE obsession of some of our news channels with Shoaib Malik’s suspicious ‘nikah’ is extremely disgusting and disappointing.

His ‘nikah’ issue is not a matter of life and death for the Pakistani nation that our news channels broadcast live streaming on their channels as if it is the only issue the Pakistani nation wants updates of.

Pakistan is facing a lot of threats from internal and external forces and news channels are supposed to highlight the issues of national interest and not of the personal lives of celebrities for channels’ avarice.

I request the administration of all Pakistani media outlets to show some level of decency.
