Senior journalist dies in road accident

Badin, July 08 2005: Senior journalist of Badin, Raees Ahmed Shaikh, who was affiliated with Jang and Geo TV, was killed in a road accident, while his daughter sustained serious injuries, here on July 7.

He was going to Geo TV office Karachi from Badin to submit interview of Tehrik Insaf Chief Imran Khan, when his car collided with another vehicle coming from opposite direction. He died on the spot while his daughter Sumaira sustained serious injuries.

President Badin Press Club Malik Alyas and other journalists including Abdul Razaq Khatti, Abdul Latif Zargar, Abdul Shakoor Memon and Tanveer Ahmed expressed heart-felt condolence on this sad demise. Badin Press Club has announced to observe seven-day mourning over his demise.
