LAHORE- The second meeting of the 7th Wage Board for the newspaper employees was held at Chamba House.

Board Chairman Justice Afrasiyab Khan (Retd) presided over the meeting, while five representatives of the newspaper employees, including All Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation (Apnec) Chairman Abdul Hameed Chhapra, Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) President 1.H. Rashed, Apnec Secretary-General Parvez Shaukat, PFUJ Senior Assistant Secretary General Abdullah Jan and former president of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) Majid Fouz, participated in the meeting.

The representatives of the newspaper employees submitted memorandum for grant of interim relief to the chairman of the Board with a request to send the same to the representatives of the newspaper owners, who did not attend the second meeting of the Board.

The meeting also decided to hold a two-day session of the Board on October 29-30 in Quetta.
