ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman on Tuesday announced the start of a shuttle bus service for journalists covering parliamentary proceedings.
Talking to reporters at the Parliament House, she said the shuttle bus would ply between Press Information Department (PID), Zero Point and Parliament House.
The decision to this effect has been taken to facilitate the journalists who use public transport to reach Parliament House for the media coverage.
Rehman said that all private television channels would be provided clean footage of daily activities in the Parliament House by the official media.
ITP wary of CDA move to allot new site: A move by Capital Development Authority (CDA) to withdraw allotment of four acres to Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) in Faizabad area and give them alternative land in Sector H-11 has put the ITP in a quandary.
“As Faizabad – the link between Rawalpindi and Islamabad – is an ideal place for traffic office, the ITP have completed demarcation for their offices with consent of the CDA,” a source in the ITP said.
The site is located near Faizabad flyover at entry point of the federal capital and the approach is very convenient for the general public.
The land in Faizabad was allotted to the ITP to set up offices, a driving training institute and a licenc branch adjacent to National Park along with Murree road.
