On September 4, the Sindh Commission for the Protection of Journalists and Other Media Practitioners (SCPJMP) notified focal persons across the province to strengthen the implementation of the Commission’s rules and ensure the timely protection of journalists. The officers, nominated from the provincial Information Department, will serve as primary contacts between the Commission and local media communities.

In the Hyderabad division, the appointed focal persons include Ms. Sobia Saleem, Information Officer, Hyderabad; Saleem Ahmed Jatoi, Deputy Director, Matiari; Alamgir Shehzad Ranjhani, Information Officer; Ghaus Muhammad Pathan, Deputy Director, Tando Muhammad Khan; Muhammad Yaqoob, Deputy Director, Badin; Mahfooz Soomro, Information Officer, Thatta and Sujawal; Zeeshan Laghari, Information Officer, Dadu; and Khalid Hussain Kamboh, Deputy Director, Tando Allahyar.

For the Sukkur division, the Commission named Ghulam Abbas Goraho, Director, Sukkur; Syed Sajid Ali Shah, Deputy Director, Khairpur; and Rafia Bano Shaikh, Deputy Director, Ghotki.

In the Larkana division, the focal persons are Muhammad Aslam Khokhar, Information Officer, Larkana; Murtaza Ali Jakhro, Deputy Director, Shikarpur; Amrah Zartash, Deputy Director, Kashmore-Kandhkot; and Pyaro Kalhoro, Information Officer, Qambar-Shahdadkot and Jacobabad.

For Mirpurkhas division, the designated officers include Ghulam Raza Khoso, Deputy Director, Mirpurkhas; Muhammad Aslam, Information Officer; and Yasir Nawaz, Information Officer, Tharparkar.

In the Shaheed Benazirabad division, the Commission appointed Muhammad Musa Gondal, Director, Shaheed Benazirabad; Qamar Zaman Bhanbhro, Information Officer, Naushahro Feroze; and Zafar Ali Mangi, Deputy Director, Sanghar.
